Trainee Fuel Tank Production Technicians - Ref: ATL-Tech1

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm

Flexible Hours: Able to work full time hours to suit, either 6am – 2:30pm or 2:30pm - 10pm. Pre-requisite is during training period in first 2 months you must work 8am - 4:30pm

Starting Pay: (£9.00 per hour) £18,720 up to £27,000 , Overtime paid at time and a half during peak season

Interview: Practical assessment

Prerequisites

  • Relevant hands on experience (work experience or recreational).
  • Dexterity;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to follow instructions;
  • Ability to commit to a fair and demonstrated schedule;
  • Full training is provided.

Summary of Duties

  • Successful candidates will receive all the training required to be capable of hand crafting a high quality fuel bladder from start to finish, with little or no assistance.
  • Technicians are required to meet deadlines and maintain fair and demonstrated schedules.
  • They are required to follow best practice and present products in a Quality Assured manner.
  • They should strive to become fully versed in all aspects of bladder manufacturing including all material types.
  • Technicians will define their own progression within the business depending on how motivated, committed and driven they are.

Design Engineers - Ref: ATL-DES1

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Prerequisites

  • Degree qualified with minimum of one year's relevant industry experience.
  • Catia V5 or NX experience.
  • Knowledge of part modelling, surface modelling, assembly creation and 2D drafting.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Well adapted to work independently and also in a team environment.
  • Well justified decision making skills.

Summary of Duties

  • Required to produce high-quality templates for Cell Manufacture, with accurate models, digital representations, drawings and information for the Operations area to follow.
  • Required to document designs and systems throughout the departmental lifecycle to ensure customer's requirements are met and follow company standards.
  • Required to develop job knowledge in all areas of Fuel Cell, Systems and Component Design, and continually progress their engineering capabilities.
  • Required to provide Sales Office with Design information based on sound engineering judgement to assist with quotes on upcoming prototypes and returned cells.
  • Required to assist the Design Manager with general departmental duties; management, procedural development etc. where necessary.

Head of Operations

Hours: 40 hours a week (some out of hours work will be necessary)

Prerequisites

  • Ownership of all Operations functions.
  • Management of Continual Improvement in each area.
  • On time delivery focus.
  • Excellent ability to plan by any means (forwards, backward and identify critical path).
  • Ensure all Operations areas are presented as expected by Top Management at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure approachability.
  • Team development of direct reports.

Summary of Duties

  • Give clear direction to each department manager as required ensuring they deliver their daily, weekly and monthly task in a timely manner while.
  • Support and coach each department manager to ensure the business goals objectives are delivered.
  • Manage internal production meeting requirements to ensure that all stakeholder in each customer project have the relevant platform for open discussion.
  • To work with the Sales Team to ensure customer expectations are managed at all times.
  • To work with the Sales Team to plan core repeat business requirements.
  • Monitor and manage overtime within all Operations departments providing justification when required.
  • Ensure that any planning backlog is addressed & cleared weekly.
  • Ensure that all required competencies exist within your teams and manage the upkeep of training / certification as required.
  • Escalate any HR issues to the HR team providing detailed documentation of issues arising and any previous discussions.
  • Identify area for Continual Improvement and work with others as required to deliver requisite tasks to achieve the improvements.
  • Resource planning for each area including monitoring annual leave, ensuring competent cover for each role and working with other Senior Managers to forecast resource and cross skill from area to area where possible / required.
  • Attend management meetings as required.
  • Conduct staff appraisals.
  • Complete weekly report to Managing Director.

Head of Quality

Hours: 40 hours a week (some out of hours work will be necessary) 

Prerequisites

  • Ownership of the Quality and Cell Production Trainee Training functions.
  • Overall responsibility for the Quality Management system.
  • Promote Continual Improvement throughout the business.
  • Represent ATL in all Quality Management system audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ownership of tasks from start to finish.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload.
  • Be able to use their initiative to keep all processes moving.
  • Conduct internal and external audits as required.

Summary of Duties

 General

  • Ensure that all required competencies exist within your teams and manage the upkeep of training / certification as required.
  • Escalate any HR issues to the HR team providing detailed documentation of issues arising and any previous discussions.
  • Identify area for Continual Improvement and work with others as required to deliver requisite tasks to achieve the improvements.

Quality

  • Work with Quality Managers to ensure that all requirements are completed on time and right first time.
  • Ensure feedback is upon promptly, positive or negative.
  • Take overall responsibility for the containment and corrective action implementation surrounding any form of non-conformance.
  • Work with Operations Managers to ensure all Processes and Work Instructions are maintained and reflective of current best practice.
  • Ensure Quality Management system KPI’s are maintained and any requisite actions are dealt with promptly.
  • Ownership of all Internal and External Quality audits.

Cell Production Trainee Training

  • Work with Cell Production Training Manager to ensure that training is being delivered effectively.
  • Closely monitor the progress of each trainee to ensure all behavioural and technical aspects meet the required standard.
  • Continual review of training practices, identifying and delivering improvements in material and techniques.

·         Maintaining all Final Assembly Technician training and capability logs.

·         Responsible for the development of procedures and processes within the department.

·         Liaising with the Head of Operations and the HR team in administrating HR documents and dealing with ongoing resource reviews.
