ATL June Newsletter - Le Mans 24hrs - More ATL Winners - Marine Expansion - Continued Growth & Recru

Aero Tec Laboratories News - June 2014
The Le Mans 24hr is Coming!

The month of June is an exciting time for motorsport, with the greatest endurance race in the world taking place across 24hrs on Circuit de la Sarthe, France.

ATL are pleased to be the supplier of choice to the entire Le Mans grid for either their fuel systems, refuelling equipment, or in many cases, both. ATL staff will once again be present at the illustrious event to assist the teams with their preparation for the mammoth task ahead.

Managing Director, Giles Dawson, will also be commentating throughout the event for the LIVE International Television feed, supplying in depth technical insight for viewers across the world.

The event is undoubtedly going to supply onlookers with an exciting display of technology and racing spirit alike. Old rivalries such as the Porsche and Ferrari GTE tussle will keep enthusiasts entertained right through the night, as will the return of Porsche to the LMP1 ranks.

The Toyota TS040 Hybrid is arguably the favourite for 2014 glory and came out on top at the official test just one week ago. Nobody will be writing off the Audi's just yet though!

Good luck to all ATL customers and friends.

More ATL Winners

The World Endurance Championship & European Le Mans Series got off to a flying start at Silverstone in May. ATL were on hand to assist with last minute issues that invariably crop up at season openers - including supplying update kits for new regulations.

Also making its race debut was the new-for-2014 ATL Refuelling Bowser. Oak Racing & KCMG took delivery of their new 100L units, making them fully compliant with the 2014 refuelling regulations.

ATL would like to congratulate JOTA Sport who won an exciting second round of the ELMS, who took delivery of their ATL Refuelling Bowser for that weekend.

Bob Friend of JOTA commented "We found the ATL refuelling bowser easy to learn and use during the race weekend whether in its use for refuelling the rig or draining & filling the cars fuel cell before sessions".

There have been huge numbers of ATL supplied winners since our last newsletter including: Daniel Ricciardo in an exciting Montreal F1 race, Toyota in the WEC, Muller, Loeb, López and Ma Qing Hua driving their Citroën C-Elysée WTCC racers, plus a host of other deserving teams and drivers in the WEC, ELMS, WTCC, BTCC, DTM, Auto GP, British GT...... The list goes on!

Marine Expansion

With continual material and product innovation, and a truly market leading position in the world of motorsport, it is inevitable that ATL grows across further sectors.

The marine world has embraced ATL technologies and the differing applications available. The same lightweight, space saving and high performance building blocks are being used to great effect in Powerboat Racing, Specialist Craft, and Leisure Yachts.

Products on offer include custom built specialist bladders, as well as standard units which are designed to sit comfortably on the deck of any vessel. The Range Extending FueLockers and Petro-Flex Pillow Tanks come in a range of sizes and can easily be folded and stored away after use. Also available are a range of accessories such as Tote Bags, Tie-Down Kits and Sun Shields.

ATL would like to wish the best of luck to Steve Banks and the rest of the Tally-Ho crew who are racing in the gruelling 2,500 mile Venture Cup race from Nieupoort in Belgium to Monte-Carlo this month.
The twin-engine, 600BHP Scorpion Rib has on-board an ATL FueLocker and Petro-Flex Range Extender to allow the crew to tackle race legs far further than the original range of the boat.

Continued Growth & Recruitment

ATL continues to provide high quality fuel system technology to customers and partners, with more manufacturers and racers switching to the reliable and high performance ATL supply daily.

The continued growth prompted ATL to move to a new 100,000 sq ft facility in Bletchley, Milton Keynes in October 2013, which has allowed ATL to increase capacity.

With this expansion comes the need for new, highly motivated and skilful workers to join our fast and exciting industry. If you are looking for a new challenge and believe you have what it takes work in this winning environment, we would like to hear from you. ATL are currently looking to fill the following positions:
